Magic Number Cards

Have a volunteer pick a number between 1-63. Looking at the cards above, have them tell you which cards the number appears on. For example, if they chose the number "29," they would tell you cards 1, 2, 5, and 6. You immediately tell them they chose the number "29."

The Secret: To guess the number the volunteer chose, simply add up the numbers in the left hand corner on all of the cards that contained their number. The numbers in the corner will add up to the number they chose. Can you figure out how this works?
